History

My Good Companion was born out of the deep concern of Tari Sandjojo, a child, adolescent, and family psychologist. After 25 years of practice, Tari saw an overwhelming need—especially among teenagers—to be truly heard. Heard with empathy, without assumptions, without judgment, while slowly helping them build their own solutions.

In 2021, she launched My Good Companion as an active listening service for those in need of someone to genuinely listen. During the pandemic, the service became a lifeline for many teens who were unable to socialize freely offline.

After going inactive in 2023, My Good Companion returned in August 2025 with an upgraded format—not just via Instagram or WhatsApp, but now through video calls, fully accessible via the website: https://mygoodcompanion.id/

Today, My Good Companion’s scope goes beyond teenagers. We also provide space for young mothers who need to be heard, often with more specific and personal topics.
